I wanted to apply for a reissue of passport as my pages had elapsed. I took the appointment after entering all the detail in the website. I went to passport seva kendra marthalli ring road and was shocked since I am married they need a marriage certificate again I came back and got an appointment on wednesday, since the appointment for tuesday was full.
Then I went to passport seva kendra again and I told the front desk person that it is not mentioned in website and it is not a pre-requisite. Then he checked all the documents and asked me to wait to verify online and will give a token # and file. Literally 30 minutes I had to wait.Then he issued a token # and file. I went inside and was sitted for 10 minutes after that my token # was called to Counter A, I finished all the formalities and it took 10 mins and back and waited for my turn to Counter B litterly for 1 hour after that appointment to Counter B the guy in counter B’s job is to just check the docs and sign it which is really not required in process and I dont know why they are sitting. After that again 1 hour waited to go to Counter C an old man was seated and for him one assistant to help him. Totally nearly it took 3 hours to come out of passport for 15 mins work. The funny thing is at the last exit they will ask for Efficiency feedback. The TCS folks are they not aware of how efficiency is calculated I have provided all the data, If they feel they are efficient and wish to improve efficiency, firstly they should know where they stand.This all happened for an Tatkal Appointment, I am sure the Normal peoples might have to wait for 5 to 6 hours which is a waste of a day. Look forward if any improvment and action to improve the proces time. If not we all leave in India where anything can happen any time and no one I responsible for that.
