This review is about Regional PassportOffice-Bangalore.
I just went there to get my passport which was returned to them because of my non availability at my residence. First I asked a constable about an enquiry, in reply he asked me to stand in a long Queue where all the peoples were submitting their passport forms. Then I thought If I stand here then it will take me almost two hours to get the details so somehow I managed to get the details from another constable who was standing near the main gate of the office.
In reply he said in order to get your passport back you have to write aletter in English stating your reason of non-availability at your residence and also do not forget the acknowledgement receipt of your passport. The lettershould be dropped to the drop box of the passport office.
Note: You have to buy a registered letter from the post office which willcost you 38Rs/-(including 15rs stamp) and then add your letter in it with the acknowledgment receipt and then drop it)
Only your name and address should be mentioned on the envelope.
So as per the constable words I got the registered post envelope and thenposted my letter to the passport office.
I was hoping that it will take more than a month’s time to get my passport butI was shocked that within a week I received my passport in the same envelope inwhich I posted a request letter.
SO I guess this review will be helpful for you:)
