I have been in this beautiful city for the past 10 years or so now. I still remember how bad an impression I had about the people of southern India when I first stepped into Bangalore from after having spent about 15 initial years of my life in the north and coming down to the south for the first time. But within just 3 months of my arrival, I forgot all those 15 long years and fell in love with this place and the people here. I didnt know a single word in Kannada then and today I am going to get married to a Kannadiga. Everything is just too good about Bangalore, be it the place or the people. It indeed is a Garden City. Ive never seen so much greenery within the city anywhere else. And this probably contributes for the pleasant whether throughout the year. Ive known of so many people whove chosen Bangalore as the place to settle down for the post retirement period. Though its not among the major metros, but its considered best among the metropolitan cities. Its been rightly called the Silicon Valley and the software hub of India. With the number of foreign collaborations happening here, the number of software companies coming up in Bangalore and off course the latest example being the Chinese premier coming and meeting one of the worlds richest person, Mr. Narayan Murthy and offering him to set up an Infosys in China. What more could Bangalore ask for.
