Having lived in Bangalore for all the 14 years of my life, I have nothing but praise for this beautiful city.The capital of Karnataka has metamorphosed from a sleepy Garden city into one of India’s fastest growing cities.Bangalore is a city of contrasts with many aliases:India’s Silicon city, Pub city, Shopper’s paradise and shopper’s hot spot.There is no count of the number of IT comapanies here.
Bangalore also offers many perfect weekend getaways.Thre is a national park just on the outskirts of the city.There are many picnic spots on the perimeter of Bangalore.Having visited all the metros of India, I have to say that according to me, no place is better than Bangalore.The people here are very friendly.This is the place to be if you are in your teens like me.There is so much going on.There are loads of concerts evey month and just a few days ago there was the Bangalore marathon.We have been visited by soooo many celebs.Enrique, Bryan adams, Mark knopfler and in a few months, THE best rock band in the worlds-Metallica is having a concert in my city.Maybe the infrastructure in Bangalore is not very good, but its catching up with the other metros at a breakneck speed.In a few years we are going to have the metro, a brand new international airport and many new additions.THis place is really a shoppers paradise.There are loads of malls and shopping places.Bangalore has something for everyone.
I have read other reviews on Bangalore on mouthshut and most of them dont portray Bangalore in a good way.But dont be fooled cause there is no place better than Bangalore and it is the perfect place for tourists cause it is in the centre of southern India and every place can be easily accessed from Bangalore.There are so many gardens and lakes within Bangalore and I’ve not seen so many of these in any city in India.They dont call Bangalore as the Garden city for nothing.Bangalore’s nightlife is so good.Half the city is awake even after midnight.The are so many pubs and places to hang out for the future generation.If you are around 18 and want to move to another city, Bangalore is a good choice.As I sit in my house and look out my window, I can see so many skyscrapers Lighting up this beautiful city that I’d like to call HOME.
