Welcome to Information Technology capital of India. This is the latest addition to the various tags of Bangalore. It is called the Garden city, the city of lakes, pensioner?s paradise, city of talents, pub city, electronic city, wired city and so on. Apart from that the city has been a hub of activities like research & development, biotechnology, drug research, aeronautical engineering, dairy development, and recently software. The latest tag addition to the city has gained a tremendous amount of momentum worldwide.
A survey says soon Bangalore will overtake the original Californian Silicon valley in the number of software professionals. The demand for Bangalore as the space for investment in IT and ITES becomes all the more advantageous with the ongoing software boom.
Most IT giants and representatives are so much influenced and keen on investing and expanding that it has also invoked the spirits of the government in implementing hassle-free policies and carrying out measures to boost their confidence.
Alternatively they have also been chalking out different plans to improve the infrastructure and set up software parks and give tax waivers. Above all the easy availability of software professionals from the surrounding engineering institutes and colleges make it accessible for companies to pull candidates and establishing their initiatives.
The city?s modern outlook and multi cultural attitude gives people the pleasant environment of being in paradise. Also the weather of Bangalore has made it visible that there is no other place better for a life on earth with brilliance in flora and fauna together fitting perfectly. There are about 200 lakes in the city and most of them natural reservoirs which proves that the land is rich in wetland resources. This makes the city less prone to problems of water. Hence the trees and plants of Bangalore are also green 24/7-365. Along with that Bangalore has got spell bounding wildlife conservation projects.
The few animal and bird sanctuaries in and around the city are enough to provide lungs to the whole of Bangalore. Unmistakably there are also rare and diverse varieties of animals and bird species found here like the white tiger, white elephant, African eagle, etc. And not to forget we have two splendid and huge parks, The Cubbon park and The Lalbagh Botanical garden. You do not need an explanation about this since both are the pride and beauty of the city. In other words for many Bangalore is imprinted in their hearts because of these parks.
The city now blooms with success in so many arenas. It is soon going to become the shopping hub representing our country similarly on the lines of Dubai in the gulf. With the textile industry already thriving at an astronomical high here there is a lot more to come soon. Bangalore is also to welcome up market trade in jewellery, electronics, art and real estate. This would pave the way for the country?s richest economy too. Already it tops exceeding high above the mercury levels in software exports. Soon it would bring excitement in many more inter dependent fields.
Bangalore is also home to the country?s billionaires. The richest man and the richest woman of India both are from the city. At the same time it is second in the number of millionaires next to Bombay.
So many people have smelt success in Bangalore that it has given inspiration for the rest and become the hottest destination for many reasons. It is also the home to the country?s liquor baron who controls 70% of the country?s alcohol production, Vijay Mallya. And of course it is also the place where the consumption is the most advanced and genuine giving name to the city as the bustling pub culture hotspot.
Infrastructure in Bangalore is taking the top gear with so many developments activities and large concrete structures coming up everywhere. Shopping malls to the dozen springing up in many places has given people the wide range of choices. So many flyovers being built, proposal for the implementation of suburban train, setting up of world class educational institutions, etc are signs a dream coming true. The coming of the new international airport would give a thrust to tourism and investment and to many more business activities.
Bangalore has already put itself crystal clear on the global map. It would soon turn itself into a mega polis next only to Los Angeles. Already a survey says that half of the world?s population would soon live only in cities. And Bangalore would soon be named top of the charts next only to New Delhi and Bombay.I only hope that menaces such as pollution, crime and such man made madnesses do not affect Bangalore. And the government has to ensure that the culture, tradition, geography, etc. is well preserved with schemes for public awareness. And this would keep the natural beauty of beauty of the city forever.
Conservationists and environmentalists would need to put in their efforts in a large way. Along with that people of Bangalore should constructively form together and take wise initiatives in protecting the outlook of the city and at the same time understand what is good for them. I am sure all would join hands to make it a better place each day and the best one-day.
