I was in Thailand ;last week of February 2007 , HOT HOT HOT , Since I got a very cheap fare in indian airlines , I planned a trip , first and formost imporant thing while travelling abroad to enjoy , DONT CARRY MORE LUGGAGES , if u are going on a short trip say one week to 10 days , carry a pair of dark jeans and dark tshirt , I landed up in bangkok in the evening around 5.00pm came outside the airport , on arrival visa will cost you bhat 1000 , dont book a hotel from india , if you are a walkie guy you can walk a while to find a good hotel , before that take a printout of hotels and their addresses, you have to MENTION THE NAME OF THE HOTEL ON THE VISA FORM,
I collected all the information over the internet before planning my trip , took the bus which goes til nana station , it got a famous entertainment zone called nana entertainment plaza , gOt down the bus , bus will cost Bhat 100, if you are going along with ur friends , get a metered taxi , MOST OF THE THAI DRIVER dont speak good english , speak to them saying one word , tell the name of the place you want to go , then tell meter , if you want to go to nana plaza , tell him NANA , then METER , once he switches on the meter get inside the taxi , get down in nana area and have a walk , speak to shop people asking for hotel , they will guide you to the near by hotels , you can also find indian hotels , arabian hotels in that area, .
I stayed in a hotel costing bhat 1000 for a 12 hour check out , boarded the hotel freshed up had a walk finding the nana entertainment plaza , found it , its huge full of girls , dont mind see the girls just keep walking the area , I guess it got 3 floors , before getting inside any club / bar , just have a look at everything they have and u will have an idea which place to enter at the end , check for the rates also , big clubs charge more , if you have enough money check all the gogo’s , I checked a gogo where they had girls dancing on the poles with bikini’s on and some off , they also had a nude show , tv got xxx flims playing , full of girls who can accompany with u for a drink , I did not show much interest on that since I am married , showed them my wedding ring and avoided ,
next day , took a the skytrain to ekamai bus station to go to pattaya , a/c volvo bus will cost you bhat 70 , reached pattaya in 3 hours , from the bus station took a taxi which has stand inside the bus station , ask for south pattaya , they will take u there for bhat 20 , walk and explore lots of hotels around , you can find good hotels for bhat 300 to 600 , check walking street , MUST SEE place in pattaya WALKING STREET , you can spend all the nights in that area alone got lots of entretainment happening all night
if you want to sight see , check with local tour operators and find it for urself , since I dont have any idea about sight seeing , I walk a lot to explore the place by myself , its good exercise too , got lots of leg massage body massage everywhere in thailand , spend bhat 100 for a leg massage for one hour , you will feel ur legs are as fresh , no pain after walking the whole day ,
Shopping bargain bargain , ask rate for one piece and again ask price for 5 or 10 even if you are not going to buy 5 or 10 , then u will have a idea how much to pay , its more or less like stuff’s you buy in india on the bargain stalls .
