Bank Chors - Please refund my money!

Well, After a series of comedy movies from Reteish and Vivek Oberoi here comes Bank Chor. The movie is silly as the title is. It was actually very painful to watch the movie as it spoilt my weekend and time. The movie fails in being a comedy completely and infact gives thrilling experience. It does have an impression of the dhoom series movie. It seems miles away from reality as you can see hostage helping robbers in the bank? Does it really happens in reality. Three chors Champak, Gulaab and Genda went to rob Bank of Indians(BOI). The first half shows the trio stupidity and the Mumbai vs Delhi rivalry. There are a few good punch lines in the movie like - If Delhiites will return to Delhi then who will work in Mumbai. The trio fails to rise above the lame storyline. The movie gains some momentum when Vivek comes to investigate the matter to the bank and a lot of unexpected happens then. The movie gains momentum in the second half but that was too late to wake up the sleeping audience.

Reteish is a great actor and delivered a number of hits in the past and I was surprised to see why he choose to work in such a pathetic movie. However, he does justification to his role and took the movie on his shoulders throughout. Bhuvan and Vikram Thapa performed well and are very nice with their jokes and punches and bring some humor to the movie. Both perform a nice role as Delhiites vs Mumbaikar Reteish. But except a few dialogues they were left with nothing to prove their characters. The background characters in the movie are not pleasing and does the harm to the movie. Vivek has performed well in the role of Police Inspector and gives a powerful punch to the chors. Rhea Chakrobarty is good as a reporter but was not left with much to prove because of a short role. Bumpy debut as a director with this movie and his lack of experience in direction reflects throughout the movie.

Actually there was no need of music as it disrupts the momentum of this movie. However, Hum Hai Bank Chor and Jai Baba Bank Chor really connects with the audience. These songs does a bit of entertainment and apart from this there was not much scope for music.

There is nothing new in the Cinematography and nothing has been done exceptional with the camera. Infact the camera covers unwanted people in the background and makes it clumsy. Also, it lacks any special effects and the movie really looks very slow. There is nothing like a good camera work. A few of the songs are well shot except that nothing new.
