We went to the bio-diversity park in mid january.
The best part of Bannerghata is the Safari. despite expectations, the vehicles in which they take us are old and condemned ones. one might not really feel safe inside them initially.
There are separate enclosures for Bear, Tiger, Lion and Herbivores. Good security but very few animals to justify it. we saw few deer, couple of bears 3-4 tigers (one of them was an albino tiger), there were -5 lions sleeping. For me, the safari was a farce.
The butterfly park is interesting. in 2 parts-one part describes all trivia about butterflies. The second part actually has many hundreds of butterflies fluttering around in a dome. This was a good thing. but, dont eat anywhere around the park as there are many hungry monkeys around. lots of flowers under the dome-its like a take-off from Jurassic park.
The zoo has some places for the children to play. Please carry your own food as the stalls ain’t that clean. The zoo has many animals. its large. overall, the presentation could have been better. though the intention seems to be noble, its like a half-hearted job. GO IF YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO.
