Trips to Hill stations are usually marred by average hotels and indifferent service levels. This gets worse during the peak season, when most of the popular destinations turn in to one large mela and chaat bhandar. With these thoughts I took up the trip to manali (I drove from delhi , highly recommended lovely drive). I was booked at the Banon resorts in the heart of manali and after crossing over the overcrowded bazar at Manali I reached Banon resort, close to the main city bazar yet far from all the noise.
Warmth is what exudes from the Hotel staff, I was impressed with the attention of the staff and their concern for small details. Excellent facilities at the front desk gets you to check in at the earliest.
The rooms are spacious and airy, very well lit, done up in wood and are very comfortable. This was perhaps the most comfortable Hotel room I had taken up in a hill station.
The room service was excellent, I never had to remind once even for seemingly trivial tasks such as boiling my sons feeding bottle.
The best part of the stay was the dinner buffet, there is something about eating at a hotel in the hills that always used to put me off. Banon does a wonderful job of keeping a delicious buffet every evening, so much so that one tends to look forward to eating at the hotel after a long day.
I returned extremely satisfied and took a vow to write my experience.
Highly recommended for all travelling to Manali.
