I didnt find much difference between Barbeque Nation and 36 Chhattees. The spread seems to be pretty much the same and so are the taste and the price. The only difference is that the service is 36 Chhattees is better than that at Barbeque Nation.
You have unlimited kebabs as starters, which are delicious and pretty much leave you full with no room for main course which is limited but decent. The desserts are also quite good with Gulab Jamun, Ice cream, fruit and souffle(though I would have personally liked a more variety here). Like I said, it isnt exceptional, but good value for money(weekday dinner buffet cost us Rs. 550/- plus taxes) .
On the down side, the ambiance isnt great. All the kebab making leaves the closed room stuffy. Plus the noise - noise made by the other guests, by those who are serving, and by those in the kitchen(we were seated right in front of the kebab counter and were treated to continuous flow of threats from the head chef to those working in the kitchen for not being fast enough).
This is definitely not the place if you are planning to have a quite meal with some meaningful conversation(a big NO for dates). However, if your budget is limited and you are forced to treat a group of gluttonous friends who wouldnt pay attention to what is going on around them, this would be the right choice.
