Well, I was trying to find a good restaurant to take my wife out to, on our wedding anniversary. A friend of mine suggested Barbeque Nation and it certainly did not disappoint!! The unique concept about this restaurant is that they have a mini grill at the table. The starters you order come to you 80% cooked and then you can customize it, according to your taste. You can keep turning the skewers till the dish is grilled just right and then enjoy it.
The buffet costs Rs.400 per head and includes unlimited starters (5 veg and 5 non-veg). Make sure you try all of them. If you still have some space in your stomach, there is a regular buffet and the spread is quite impressive. You usually get biryani, the regular veg and non-veg curries and of course, 3-4 desserts...Yumm :-)
I think on weekdays, the buffet costs Rs.280 and includes a complimentary welcome drink (pint of beer or a mocktail)
The drinks are slightly expensive and it might be a good idea to tank up before you go there.
We had asked for a table on the terrace and I think that’s the best place to be. A band playing blues and soft numbers is present in the evenings. They definitely made my day!!
The service is really good and everyone seemed courteous.
I would strongly recommend reserving a table in advance. I had heard and read in some posts that the queue management was horrible. We didn’t face any difficulty as we had the advance reservation. **The tel # to call would be 32503344 or 32504455.
Also, it is centrally located at **100 ft road, Indiranagar. (just where the Koramangala flyover ends)
They have valet parking, which is an absolute necessity on that busy road.
Overall, a great experience both with the food and the ambience. A really nice place to take someone over for lunch or dinner and show off your fine taste !!
