Barbecue it YOURSELF!

Welcome to a new experience in Bombay/Bangalore. Just in case you haven’t visited this place, its high time you should. I was impressed by their’do it yourself’ concept. After Mumbai, its a huge hit in Bangalore and Hyderebad. The one I visited is the Indira Nagar outlet. The décor looks west European with hints of Scottish pubs. You might like the woody interiors with exposed brick walls.


A barbecue is provided on every table. You have to rotate the skewers that have kebabs pierced in directly on rod, and then have the skewer quickly pulled out before its way too hot. The heat from the barbecue set-up slowly cooks the meat and the spices, flavor and aroma is retained due to the lack of direct heat from the fire, keeping the meat’s moisture intact and the result overwhelming.


The non-veg starters are a must for everyone. The grilled prawns are just perfect for the evening. You can enjoy 3-5 veg, 5-8 non-veg starters(unlimited), 1 veg-soup, 1 non-veg soup, 4-5 non-veg gravies, 5 veg gravies served with hot butter naan or rotis. The salads & desserts keep changing every day. The most delicious kebabs are the chicken reshmi and the mutton shaslik kebabs. Some of these actually taste similar to Kabab Koobideh, Jujeh Kabab you might have tried in Iran. Do try the fish kebab if you love fish. The Shish Kebabs literally melt in your mouth.


It’s a place that one could visit on a weekend. I suggest you go there on an empty stomach. For 450/- per head it’s a steal. After all the Kebabs they serve could cost a bomb elsewhere. Moreover the main course and the desserts are well made. So what are you waiting for? Guten Appetit!
