I normally do not write reviews specially a negative one; however I would like to talk about Barclays cards services here. It has been almost a year since I have been using this card and I here is my observation:1. There is lack of co-ordination between various departments. I received a call from Barclays informing me that I will get a discount of Rs250 if I used their card for at least Rs1000.
Coincidentally, I was at Wills Lifestyle that very moment and swiped this card for Rs 3500. I did not get any refund or discount in my statement. When I called their customer service about it, I was informed that there is no such scheme on offer in the current month.2. for last few days I have been getting calls from their customer care in Gurgaon however as soon I answer the call the line gets disconnected.
When I call back, I am not able to get the information because I am not carrying my credit card and they are not able to get the details using my name. After a while I get threatening messages like my name will be referred to credit bureau if I do not make payment immediately. Even when I dropped a check I keep gettting such message.I would suggest anyone who is looking for a credit card to take everything from the bank in writing before trusting them. Specially in case of offers, ask them to send you mail or email before you spend your money. I hope my review (more of a complaint) helps you and saves you your precious time.
