Hopeless Customer Service and Processes

I am having a Barclays CARD for the last one year and I have to say that their customer service is pathetic. Global Bank....poooh...


I had failed to make a payment before the due date. But I made the payment as soon as I realized the due date is over and when the collection agency had called. I collection agency guy came and collected rs. 3000 from me and gave me a receipt with barclays holographic logo on the receipt.


SInce the day of my due date my mobile was inundated with reminders of payment. It is understandable if they send a couple of reminders for payment. But they have been sending so many SMS’s that it was a literally a mental torture. But I said to myself that this will stop immediately as I have made a cash payment. But since I kept receiving SMS’s from them for non payment even after my payment, I called them up. ( I tried atleast 25 times to get through to their number).


The Customer Service executives ( one Yasmin) was so rude in her language. They said that even if "CASH" payment is made, it will take "FOUR WORKING DAYS" to credit to my account. How much time does it take to post a cash payment? I can understand one day or max two days...but 4 Days! Hopeless!.  Fine, If they have such a process, let it be.


But at least the SMS’s will stop after 4 days...i consoled myself. But then day after day, even after 4 days I kept receiving SMS’s stating non payment. I am so bugged up. I sent mail to their service desk (I was never able to get through their number after the first episode). We will revert to you "shortly". They don’t have a TAT for complaints lodged...! (worlds one of biggest banks! ...pooh). I have sent mail to their head ...services. No use!.. No one responds. Still getting atleast 5 SMS’s everyday for non payment and they have suspended my credit card!....


Hopeless , disgusting and pathetic bank... our normal co operative banks give a better service...is the RBI listening? Is any Barclays employee reading this?


Overall...we should drive away such third rate service providers from our country...they may be some big canon...but only GOD know how they reached there...
