I have a painful experience with barclays.
1. First of all their claim that u don have to pay anything if you don’t buy anything on ur creditcard is a HUGE lie. They charge u service fee even if u don use ur card.
They dont have online services so to pay the bills u have to find out their well hidden cheque gathering location which takes u months and never close to ur house.
No online statements or alerts.
With the frustrations mentioned above, I destroyed my card, paid my last bill and asked them to close my account 2 yrs ago. Now suddenly, they have started calling me, and are asking me to pay 8000 rs as pending amount. Bull^(.
Morale of the Story: Never bank with these guys when u have other options like SBI, HDFC or even stan c. At least it’s much more transparent with them.
