I am holding a Barclays Gold Card for the last 4-5 month and the experience has been pathetic.
They change your credit limit without any concent. Recetly, I was in kathmandu, and banking upon this card to do some shopping, and I got a message that the limit has been reduced to 17k, which is not even significant fraction of my monthly salary/income. And I was confused, what to do
Other issues,
Non professional Support executives: When ever you call, you have a long queue, also executives have horrible english and sense of service
Bank with probably wrong policy for india: The bank still has a hangover of British Empire, and they have very wrong estimates about peoples credit worthiness
Bills cannot be checked online: You cannot have daily updates online as there is no online account check facility
Please stay away from Barclay cards, if you want peace of mind. I recomend
HDFC, ICICI & Kotak Card
