Last weekend, me and my wife visited Champaner which is 1 hour drive from the city of Baroda. Champaner is a World Heritage Monument declared by UNESCO and it lies on the foot hills of Pavagadh mountain.
This was my 2nd visit to this historical place that takes you back to the 15th Century and the exquisite carvings on the walls of the forts and masjids will take you back to the era of Mohammed Begda. I was truly captivated by the peace and serenity of the place and watching even local people visit these ancient architectures.
Believe me, even if you visit once you wont go a satisfied tourist and will definitely come back for another visit.
As for me, I am planning another visit and this time I want to cover the places that I missed out.
