Bata is one the oldest and the best brands for shoes. watching & wearing bata since childhood and I remember the quality of the shoes used to be so good that it would last for more than 2 years and only reason we had to discard the shoe was the size. Slowly the quality of the shoe has started deteriorating and so is the service quality of the sales person.
Recently I went into bata store to buy a comfortable shoe for my self and was really not happy with the attitude of the sales persons. right at the gate I was asked about my requirement and without listening fully the sales person asked us to seat while he went inside to bring shoes. he brought 3 pairs and showed me all the 3, when I narrated him my requirement fully he commented like you should have told this earlier. anyways he went inside again and came back with only a single pair. he asked me check and select it. I didn’t liked the design and I asked him for another one, the reply shocked me, he said - "if you didn’t liked this you will not like anything in the store. we don’t have anything for you apart from this" I left the store thinking how can the people be so rude.
From now on TATA to BATA.
