I have purchased Weinbrenner Shoes(VOGEL - Article Code: 8713628) from BATAs Outer Ring Showroom in BSK 3rd Stage, Bangalore on 13th June 2010. In last 3 months I have hardly used this shoe(may be around 15 to 20 times). It has shown how poor the quality of the shoe during last week. A big gap is showing in one of the shoes where sole is glued to upper part. In case of another, water is seeping in from the sole . It even affected the inner part of the shoe and inner part of the sole have come up. All this happened within 3 months of purchase. If I have used it continuously, then it would have happened within a month of usage.
Being a loyal customer of BATA from my school days(around 18 years now) I never expected such a poor quality product from BATA. I have been using "Hush Puppies" from 2005 and never faced any issue with that. I would not have gone to "WeinBrenner" if the showroom had enough choice for "Hush Puppies".
I have brought this issue to the notice of Store Manager(Mr. Rachappa), (BATA Show room, Outer Ring Road, BSK 3rd Stage, Bangalore) by calling him on 9th Sept and shown the shoe to him on yesterday, 12 Sept. He told, he cant do anything in this case and I need to solve it by myself.
I have written to BATA customer Care and waiting for the reply. However, this incident is making me to go away from BATA now onwards and also I know why BATA has reduced their warranty period from 90 days to 60 days.
