This is one website which has done me a real world of good. One of the first I have been accessing wince I started to use the internet a few years ago. After finishing college in 99, there was a vaccum in my life (as there will be in each of yours) as all friends had to depart to various places. It was then that someone told me about this website. Hey, it’s really cool that there are literally thousands of colleges that feature on this even from the remotest of cities or towns from around the world! and if we can’t find one, we simply add it!
Every institute I have been with all thru my short life is featured here and thanks to this website, I have a huge database of friends again now. Especially for those of us who have finished studies before the internet era, most of our friends are bound to be out of touch and now we dont know their email ID’s. Log on to https://batchmates.com and search for your college and just register. You will surely find long lost pals. This probably is the info age substitute to pen pal clubs!!
Nowadays, they have made a part of this website ’’on charge’’, but still most of the features are free and that is good enough. The good part is that when you send an email, it is instantly delivered to the buddy’s mailbox and you can look forward to a reply.
There are a few sore spots, though, such as too many promptings to get into their paid club and the site layout, which was so good early on, has taken a turn for the worse, it looks as if some rookie like me has designed it (!). For those of you who know chequemail (Yes, I am one of their boo-hoo’s) the site design has become like that!!Also, they seem to be short of advertisers and hence, too many banners floating around. Anyway, it is worth to register for free and browse thru to find old friends.

One added advantage is te message board, which we can use to generally update everyone from our institute about our news and look up theirs.
I guess it’s time for friendship again!!
