This is a movie for the intellectual and thinking person. My friends were bored, because they didnot understand the message of the movie. Batman explores the dark emotions of humans. The movie shows us, the thin line which seperates justice and revenge, even good and evil. It has come at a time, when capital punishment is being debated. The Indian law is curently taking Ducard’s(Liam Neeson) side. This movie is refreshingly different from the usual mushy candyfloss.
Maybe thats why, its not appreciated enough. Viewers have been fed with ridiculous versions of Batman, especially on TV, so this came as a shock. But, this was the version originally intended by DC comics. There is a lot of darkness and bloodshed in their comic strips.
The movie is entertaining too, Alfred’s witty remarks are funny. Morgan Freeman is expected to come up with funny lines too. The special effects are good. The music is......non existent. Every good movie, needs great background music (like star wars) Even the usual Batman music would have been fine.
The movie also satisfies the people who want to know, ’’how did batman, get all that stuff?’’ So, all the loose ends are tied up.
A good movie to watch, if you can appreciate the dark side of things.
