For a show with a minimal plot and pretty low production values, "Baywatch" has somehow manages to become one of the most popular syndicated television programs of all time. The fascinating thing about "Baywatch" is its worst aspects(the aforementioned story problems and production values) are also its best aspects since they give the show a sort of ridiculous charm. The premise of Baywatch is straightforward: a Los Angeles-based team of lifeguards saves swimmers and occasionally fights crime, led by beefcake Mitch Buchannon(David Hasselhoff). It gives us a lot to stare at and a lot to laugh at, which is something many intentionally humoristic shows really dont give us. I have to say, its no wonder that Borat fell in love with Pamela Anderson. I enjoy watching the show.
