Be Well Hospital, Anna Nagar — overall a very disappointing experience. The infrastructure is extremely poor, and cleanliness is clearly not maintained. The ICU toilet was not functional, and for the high charges they demand, the facilities do not justify the cost at all. Around the canteen, there were multiple stray dogs wandering, water leakage near the sink, and visibly unclean surroundings — unacceptable for any medical environment.
In the era of ChatGPT and digital records, it is shocking that their pharmacy still relies on old dot-matrix printers, with many medicine records written by hand instead of printed. This not only causes confusion but also looks unprofessional for a hospital claiming to offer multi-speciality care.
Billing transparency is another major issue. Several consumables and medicines seem billed beyond their printed MRP, and itemized bills are often handed over partially or in handwritten form. For the amount they charge, patients deserve clear, printed, and legally compliant bills. Hospitals are bound by law to charge only up to the printed MRP for all items supplied.
While the doctors themselves seem competent and caring, the hospital management, infrastructure, and maintenance are far below acceptable healthcare standards. For the high prices they levy, this level of hygiene, transparency, and outdated process speaks volumes about their priorities. Overall, a very poor hospital experience.
