Due to beam cable there has been two cases of explosions at my house, firstly my wireless router blew because of reverse current from the internet cable. I thought it might be a power fluctuation from my end and so connected the cable directly to my computer after 3 days my computer exploded as well.
When called electrician he informed that there is an MCB board fitted at my place and so it is definitely not the current from power board. When opened the system to check what happened found that NIC(Network Interface Card) has blown due to high voltage which passed through the internet cable (Cat 5 Cable). When called Beam about it as usual they said they will look into it and sent an tech out after 2 days ironically he informed that this is the first time it has happened where as the previous day my neighbor has informed that the same issue has happened to him as well 2 weeks ago and he complained about it.!!!!
Beam asked me to send my computer(Parts included Mother board, 2*2GB DDR2 RAMS and processor) to their office for examining and after 2 weeks they have returned my system asking me to buy a new mother board and while returning my components they have stolen(misplaced that’s what they call) my RAMS(I have bought a new 2 GB RAM for Rs1250 a week before my system blew) . I could have easily got my money back for that RAM. During this period I bought a new wifi router and was unsing it to check email and browse internet through my mobile. After 2-3 months of pain in the back side they have asked me to buy the components and have given me a budget of 6000 Rs and said they will adjust it in the internet bill for the coming 6 months which I agreed and bought new stuff.
Now a week ago they call and inform that they will only be giving internet for 3 months as they have taken the last 3 months which I had to go through without a system into account as well....... When informed them that I bought the router like 2 moths ago and was only using it to browse my mail and that they have disconnected the internet for the last month SAYING I HAVE NOT PAID BILL which meant I used internet in mobile for only like a month they informed that it was not their concern.............WHAT BULL S#$T. Because of these people I had no system for 3 months, no internet for 2 months and have lost peace of mind as well...........
