Beam Cable is the worst service provider. I took 4mpbs speed. After a week there was a drastic change in speed. When I called customer care guys(They have their own story, which I tell u people), they said that because I have crossed a download limit of 25 gb, my speed will fall down to 760kbs from 4mbps and I had to wait until next month to get my original 4mbs speed back. Ok. But after few days the speed got to such a horrible low that even normal HTML pages which are scarce doesnt open properly. Forget about flash pages. And also along with this problem, my internet used to get disconnected every 4 times in a day.
When I contacted customer care, they say every time, the technical person will get back to you in 24 hours. But I seriously dont understand the definition of 24 hours these beam cable carry. After a long time a technician arrives, who is almost devoid of technical knowledge, and apparently blames your computer for the problems you are facing. When I confronted the customer care people with this, they said that their "anonymous back-end team will get back to you", Which happens after 2 days.
They said that the reason that you are getting a slow speed is because you have crossed that 25 GB download, but I explained to them that ok in that case I should be getting at least 760 kbps but they said that because in 760 kbs also I had crossed 40 gb something that I will get a tortoise speed net. they told me to wait for next month to get normal speed but at the end of the month I would have to pay 699 for 4 mbs.
As for customer care, coming to that, when you call them they take your call after a min, and this happens with every guy.
Well I will be moving to consumer court against beam cable, as for you innocent people/customers, dont take up the connection. These beam cable people are thugs.
