I have been using Beam Fiber Internet since April 2011. I am quite surprised to see so many negative reviews given my experience!
(Update: I ordered a Wi-Fi Router from Beam so I could share my internet connection. It took them approximately 25 days to set right a Modem setting which prevented my connection from being simultaneously accessed by my PC and laptop. So yes, their customer service gave me a scare for a few weeks. THIS EXPERIENCE MAKES ME REDUCE THEIR SERVICE AND SUPPORT RATING FROM A 5 TO A 2: Update end **)
After trying BSNL ( connection issues and bad customer service) and then Reliance’s ( wrong billing) unlimited packages, I switched to Beam because they offered excellent UNLIMITED package options.Excellent in terms of the speed and the price (Value).

My surprise: I opted for the B-Max 600 package which is Rs.600 per month at a speed of 786 Kbps. Just a few days after I installed my connection I received an sms informing me that my speed has been increased to 1 Mbps absolutely free! I guess I joined them just as they were changing their plans.So I pay Rs.600 for a 1Mbps speed unlimited connection! I doubt if there is any better package available in Hyderabad.
To note: They follow what they call a ’Fair Usage Policy’. Each Unlimited package option has a set monthly Download limit after which the speed is reduced for the rest of the month. My package which is the 1 Mbps has a monthly limit of 20 GB ( at 1 Mbps) after which the speed is 786 Kbps for the remaining days of the month. This suits me just fine.
Overall I am happy and I recommend Beam whole heartedly! Update: (Now I am just ’satisfied’ with Beam. A fall from the ’very happy’ I previously wrote) Update end.
Update 6/12/2011: I have had no trouble of any kind since I last updated this review and their customer service has been good.So I’ll increase their service and support rating to 3- i.e. good.
