From the time I last reviews Beam Cable, their service has improved vastly. There hardly have been any disruptions and any ticket filed is closed after a confirmatory follow up call. Thank you for the great service!

[Update: The connection was restored after 3 days. The beam zonal office person told me that their equipment was being stolen. But this does not change my review as I have detailed my experiences in the past 6 months]
Beam just beat BSNL in terms of POOR customer service. They have absolutely no respect for the customers time and their call center folks have been thoroughly robotised to repeat the same apologetic boiler plate responses.
I spend atleast 100 rupees on my mobile every month calling them up for connectivity issues.(and that is saying something given the low tariffs cell phones offer) Do not get carried away by the packages they offer. Without good customer service, they mean nothing.
I would recommend checking out other services in your area before subscribing to Beam.
And is some body from Beam is reading this, respond to this message if you are interested in retaining your customer base. Because I am gonna call your bluff in just about every public forum and intend to drag you guys to the consumer forum.
