I used BSNL for about 6 years and I hardly have disconnection/phone-dead problems. To be honest In the last three years I had the phone-dead problem only once. Amazing huh? But the internet speed was at 7Mbps a few years back and now it is consistently falling down... it finally reached 1.5 Mbps... despite complaints nothing improved... so after talking to several friends who have Beam... (got very good feedback with some drawbacks though) decided to go with Beam.
I took six months plan (Rs.999, 15 Mbps) straight away and believed them...they waived my installation charges and I also got the six months packages discount.. finally paid around~ Rs.6, 100 including all taxes...Connected to Beam successfully: Guess what happened when I checked the connection speed using speedtest.net? I FAINTED to see the speed at 14.5 Mbps (average for 5 times at different times) and upload at 23 Mbps (average for 5 times at different times)...
I used it for a few weeks now and had absolutely no problems... A small caution - I think the location you are at is very important... if you are within the city then no worries... some areas where less beam exposure will be an issue - you have to clarify with them upfront.
Go with the best... accept the reality... all Airtel, BSNL, Reiance... the big brands FALL DOWN BADLY in front of BEAM. Beam has turned more professional in the last few years too. Enjoy Beaming...! Believe me Beam will not disappoint you...
Thanks,
Sekhar
