I have given my painting order to Asian paints. Their Executive Mr. mandar Kulkarni has made many promises like visit of representative on an alternate day. Supervision on painting will be done by them. You don’t have to turned up. Etc. Etc. Having faith in the name of Asian paints I placed the order. And thats the biggest mistake I ever made.
The work was started. Mr. Sharad Sharma was appointed as their representative to me. He never turned up till initial work got done like putty and primer. To my surprise the work done was very pathetic even conman man can understand the quality. Mr> sharad didnot responded to me. So I called Mr. Kulkarni. After persistent followups with Mr. Kulkarni I managed to get the work done up to some satisfactory level.
When the actual painting has started. The contractor has not turned up on the given date. So called up Contractor Mr. hanumant. He said I haven’t got message from the company. But he promised to come on next day he came and the work has been started. I want ot finalize the shades. I called up Sharad and asked for Shade card. he said He doesn’t have any. I can’t believe Asian paint people doesn’t have the shed card.
I requested my architect He got the shed card. After a week or so no body turned up. I rang mr. Kulkarni twice. He didn’t responded to my call. After few trys he asked me to contact Mr. Amogh. So called Mr. Amogh of Asian Paints. He came on the site and instructed the contractor. By the time 80% of the work has been already done.
They have appointed another Representative Mr. Devendra. He came twice. But as most of the work has already ben done. He can’t keep the quality check. After completion of the site he promised to repair the minor faults in the work. So I handed over the check.
But he also failed to do the things. When I asked my bank to stop the payment of the check, he came running and tried to gave some excuses.
No supervision is done by the Asian paints. They do not have their shed card. They will only come when the payment is to be made.
So don’t get lured by their boasting. Any good painting contractor will do the job. You can appoint and arctitect for painting supervision. he will charge only 12-15% of the cost. Asian paints will take 30% from you and will do nothing
