Before I start my review- I contacted the Asian paint Home Solution, got the Quote and contacted there customer care department for queries/ complaints but didn’t get the complete work done from them.
Let me start with good part:They were quick in getting back after filling up the form. They visited my place and sent the Quote in time.
Bad:
Quote provided by the dealer was around 50% higher than the Cost Estimate provided by Asian Paint on their site or around double than general market rate.
Service and Quote is provided by Asian paint Home Solution Dealers and you directly pay them for the job.
Reason for the higher price was - Estimate on the website is all India rates which differ from place to place.
They sent Color Consultant who provided generic recommendation and charged rs 1500 upfront.
I wanted Royal Aspira which is advertised as Next Generation Paint but they mentioned they generally don’t use Aspira. I couldn’t understand the reason for this

I contacted Asian paint customer care who redirected me to Mumbai team.
Reason for higher price:
Estimate on the website is all India rates which differ from place to place.
This price includes warranty.
Quality is better than provided by other service providers.
My question to them:
How can they explain double than the market rate and 50% higher rate than the estimate provided on their own site? I can understand premium of 10% or so for the warranty. Don’t forget that as the paint is directly provided by them. Customer or Local contractor gets the paint in higher rate due to local shop/ dealer’s margin.
Although, I required repainting, they provided the Quote for New paint. As in standard process they always provide Quote for New Paint. When I raised this they said- they will ask someone to see if Re-paint can be done but Re-paint doesn’t offer warranty. I feel they must have done this in first place.
I had some reviews about the Dealer and I asked Asian Paint to either involve another Vendor or give me assurance of the service.
We agreed on points mentioned below:
They said the will see what is the best discount they can provide to minimize the huge difference.
They will check if Re-paint option is possible which will reduce the total cost.
Update on service assurance.
Their person visited my place and said that as there is moisture at few place they will have to do complete painting. They cannot follow separate process for different rooms.
I kept on following up with them on 3 points mentioned above and after 10-12 days, I got the "Revised Quote”. I felt like they are just joking.
After my complaint about higher price the revised Quote had exact same pricing and .
they reduced some of the work like instead of 2 coat of primer mentioned in original Quote, they mentioned only 1 coat of primer. And the Quoted price remains the same:)
I asked Asian about the reason of reducing the services and how their standard procedure changed in few days. I also asked them about Assurance of Quality or changing the dealer but there was no response.
I got email from other person saying he wants to talk to me on this. When I spoke to him only answer I got was- The price differs from place to place.
Cost Estimator on their site has some range which I assume must cover the difference in prices. In the estimate on site represents average price in India or is it for some specific city? There is nothing mentioned there. I can understand some difference but no valid justification for huge difference I mentioned above.
I take this as misleading the customers.
Asian Paint is not ready to take any responsibility.
Worst thing after complaint the services included in the Quote reduces and the price remains the same.
I generally avoid any negative feedback but in this case I feel as Painting is a time consuming and expensive project, everyone must have some idea about these so called reputed brands/ services rather than regretting later.
