Terrible first experience with Asian Paints Home Solution.
- The Clueless Exceutive: I call the toll-free helpline and express interest to get my flat painted. The’executive’ named Pramod lands up the next day. So far so good. He gives me a ballpark quote of 1.23 lakhs using Aspira.
I open the calculator on Asian Paints site and show him that the paint cost is about 33, 000, and ask him for a rough explanation of the 90, 000. He’s clueless.
Upon further probing admits that he’s new to the job, doesn’t know much. I ask him to call his superior.
- The Slippery Superior: Pramod, much relieved that I won’t ask him anymore difficult questions, quickly calls his superior and hands phone to me. Boss reassures me that he’ll answer all my queries. But alas, he’s driving and will call me back in 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, Pramod beats a hasty retreat, saying his superior will pakka call me. I wait for half an hour no call comes.
