Beetel Combo Phone

I purchased the Beetel Combo phone (not the one shown in picture) a few months back. Over all I have a mixed feeling about this. Let me list the good features and bad features so that an idea of the product can be obtained.

Good features

Cordless

Can dial out from Base Unit as well as Cordless unit

Caller ID available in both Base and Cordless units

Call transfer from one to another possible

Intercom facility - base unit to cordless and vice versa.

Cordless feature works even without power supply using backup battery pack.

(Above feature is not found in most of the cordless phones)

Speaker facility in base unit (make / receive calls - hands free)

Bad features

Very short range ! In fact wouldn’t work even at short distances. Works OK within my small apartment, but if I go out of my apartment no signal

No back light.

Base unit also needs to be connected to power. Separate power connection for Cordless handset charger. i.e two power connections required.

Very limited number of storage of incoming/outgoing calls.

Limited range of ring tones

No filtering of area code for incoming numbers. i.e even local numbers are tagged with STD code.

Overall I am happy with the product but for the price it could be better. Features already available in other Beetel models can be included in this to make it a great product
