Not happy with the features for the price paid

I bought this Beetel Combo phone a month back at 3K, I thought this will be a better one compared to the Chinese combos (I had one earlier) in all aspects. But now I have mixed opinion. . .

Good things first.

Speaker phone sounds better than Chinese ones. . but I miss the multi level volume control. . .this has only two steps.

Battery back-up for the base unit. currently no other makes have it.

Disadvantages.

Handset Voice quality is not good compared to Panasonic but better than my old phone. this might be because of old Mhz technology 40 to 120 Mhz approx so more noise and less range and one can tune their FM radio to get the conversation : ) . Panasonic has 1 Ghz and above.

Time display in 24Hrs (for me it’s pain to keep subtracting 12 hrs especially when navigating CID)

You will have to wait for two step display for seeing details of your last call or call history. The worst part is REDIAL , there is no one touch redial, I miss this feature from my old phone. No alarm (my old phone had two alarm one in base unit and one in handset) some times they are useful. No filter for caller ID, even for all local numbers it shows the STD code. Obsolete ring tones.Hope beetel will fix all these in their next model or next production batch. My next buy will be an Alcatel or Panasonic phone.
