The movie Befikre is a different movie for the Indian audience as it breaks the nuance of a typical romantic comedy movies which the Indian public has been used to see.
The movie showcases Dharam(Ravneet Singh) who is a comedian who flys to Paris to his friend who runs a restaurant. He is vibrant, full of energy and always over the top kind of guy. There he meets Shayra(Vaani Kapoor) who is Paris born girl who lives with her parents who moved to Paris. Shayra is also free flowing and is full of energy. They become tight friends and start doing crazy stuff together and eventually move in together. After one year they have a break up and then they stay away from each other for sometime.
Later there paths crosses again and they make amends and become friends with eventually coming of another guy in Shayra’s life and later Dharam’s understanding that he loves Shayra.
The movie has been shot in exotic locations and the cinematography is good but the director has failed to come up with a good script in order to make up a good story. Much more was expected from the director(Aditya Chopra) who has directed movies like DDLJ.
Apart from the fact that movie boasts of 23 kisses, the director has failed to make use of actors like Ranveer and Vaani and has made a funny script and seems like a formula film with hyped attention because of the kisses.
Overall there is nothing as such in the movie and the storyline remains predictable from the beginning.
Only the songs are good and have been an instant hit among the youth of India.
This is only a one time watch for Ranveer’s fan and does not contains anything to be watched again.
