My first experience with BB (Beijin Bites) was at a mall in Bangalore. The food did not taste great.
Now, I would like to share with you my second experience. This time I had a coupon that I got from a third party (a well known and recognized agency). The coupon would get me food for Rs. 200 less on the actual order for two. We had checked with the coupon vendor about any other conditions, and we were told we could avail it on any day of the week including weekends.
We called up beijing bites at around 6.50 pm on a Sunday to make a booking and to make sure the coupon is valid(it was a courtesy call and was not required). The phone call was not answered. After an hour we stepped into Beijing Bites. We went to the manager asking if the coupon was valid and that we were calling them earlier.
"Madam, go and come back on a weekday", said the manager to my friend. This was quite audible throughout the dining hall. We insisted that there was no condition mentioned on the day of week on the coupon. We also told them that we had called. His response was that the phone line remained disconnected till 7.00 pm.
We have no idea how we could hear the phone ringing on the other end then. We said we would like to talk to a higher official. A bearer-looking person came up to us saying that he was the manager. His language was insensitive. He talked as if we were beggars there for free food. There was no hospitality for some one who went up to them to enquire the validity of a deal that they themeslves proposed. You all know that a Rs. 200 off is just a reason for trying out something new and we all do that. But such a mundane situtation brought out the barbarians in them. We had to walk out loud on them and all heads (only a couple of tables were occupied on a sunday evening) turned on us.
The deal vendor got our money reimbursed and told us they received complaints from other customers on Beijing Bites. Another friend of mine also complained on wrong delivery and confusing and elevated bills from BB. So to summarise.
They don’t care to ask you to take a seat.
Their have no hospitality, no smiling face and that is no atmosphere to eat.
They have complaints on them from everywhere.
They can insult you. Their prawns suck.
I will never, for the life of me, recommend beijing bites.
