An English film in a true sense.
A black comedy in a true sense.
Although its a dark film(a psycho drama sounds better)but the comedy in the film that makes it a worth a watch.
Its a indian film at heart with a international look.Saif acts in his best form this days but this film takes him to much higher level.
A clap worthy performance comes from the debute director Homi(expecting Boman thats later).This film dosen’t seem to be his first film because he knows films do not work on stars it works on an interesting scripts.This man has an amazing knowledge of camera angles and music.Salim & Sulaiman has done a good job.Some time the scene is not that interesting but the haunting background score makes you to watch that scene.
Cinematography by Jahengir has an old world charm attached to it and editing is the USP of this film(a less than 100 min film).
Boman Irani eats all meat(I am talking about his acting in this film)His body language and the way he speaks in parsi ascent is extremely funny.
The inspector and the old father are another highlights of the film.
Dimple kapadia & Nassuridin shah are fabulous.(In short and sweet manner I discribed them because no need for words to them)
and lastly its a memorable film although the end is not satisfying.
