Bells is Fine for the 19th Ho-le

Bells Extra Special Old Scotch whisky was first produced by a whisky merchant, Arthur Bell, in 1825 but it was not until 1904 that the label appeared bearing the words ’’... Arthur Bell & Sons Exra Special Scotch Whisky’’. In 1929 ’’ Afore ye go’’ was registered as the company’s official logo. Bells whisky is one of the best blended scotch whiskies. It has a mellowness which is most pleasant on the palate and a rather distinctive character, . This good quality product is actually derived from some 35 malt and grain whiskies, each of which have matured for between 3 and 12 years. Connoisseurs say this whisky is both balanced and complex and is a great drink at the 19 th h-ole after a gruelling game of golf at a links course. It has a sweet, salty taste hwhich reputedly is largely imparted by lochgower, a famous malt in its very own right. Others believe salt sprays over the river near the ditillery also plays a role. Bells is one of the best known blended whiskies and today Arthur Bell would be proud of the fact that the whisky he developed way back is such a favourite today not only in his native Scotland but all over the world.
