Great time-pass on the bank of Ganges and temple

I visited Belurmath in Howrah on the western side of the river Hooghly opposite to the city of Kolkata( kolkata is on the eastern bank of the river Hooghly or colloquially the Ganges) is a nice place where I have been thousands of times .It is the HQ of Ramakrishna Mission and Ashram and established by none other than Swami Vivekananda. Its a nice conglomerate of temples where statues of Ramakrishna, Vivekanandaand Maa Saarada( ramkrishna’s wife) are worshipped and aarti is performed every evening by sanyasis or monks. When bells and psalms engulf the temple premises, an aura of spirituality blended with sacredness fills the air and reverberates in the walls and from the other side of the river .I went there during durgapuja, jagadhatri puja, Kali puja as all "matrishakti" is worshipped since Vivekananda and ramkrishna initiated the rituals .On eve Christmas Ramakrishna and vivekananda are perceived to be Lord Jesus and offered cake, pastry, wine since they were equally respectful to all religions .on Sunday evening the premises is crowded and tamed with visitors .They mooch around, chitchat, takes fresh air of the garden full of colorful flowers and see flow of waters and slowly moving fishing boats from Belurmath. We went there and saw things, pillows, shoes used by swamiji. We meditated and tried to understand the mystery behind that indomitable energy, irresisble power, spunk and prowess he possessed in himself to conquer the truth of wisdom in an intrepid manner .There is a museum and we sometimes bought books and pamphlets that delineate their activities especially when natural calamity emerges or erupts. If you come to Kolkata please come here on the other side of the river, no matter you are Hindu or Muslim or Christian or Sikh.Enjoy your time and be in quest of the true almighty, images of who get reflected here in all mundane customs and activities
