I bought BenQ 550C two months ago and till the very first day it is a painful experience. I bought that because of its feature thats come within a very low price.
It has Colour display, Polyphonic ringtone, WAP, GPRS etc etc - but from first day, It s signal reception is Very Very Poor.
I took it to the shop from where I had bought in Hyderabad, because the brochure, waranty card dont have a service center address. Then I took it to the so called service center ( which even dont have any name or logo of BenQ - it is just a computer repair shop ) . They first told it is a reported problem - they need to upgrade the software ( I dont know what they exactly did ) - after upgradation it even didnt work. Problem : I was not able to make call - whenever I tried to make call - call dropped , even while talking it just randomly gets disconnected ). The service center then kept the phone for testing for one week - and they tried to impressed that the problem is over.
Later with great difficulty we managed to get it replaced from Chennai office - But Unfortunately new handset even have that same problem. I also get replaced the headset - but problem remains same. People on service center tried impress that it is a network problem - but the same SIM works very fine with my Nokia 3530.
My suggestion is better to refrain from that model.
