I have used the top 4 3G mobile operators of Chennai in last 1.5 year and finally happy with my current provider in all aspects in VODAFONE Postpaid.
I am giving a qualitative analysis of the 4 top operators whose services I used for more than 3 months at least. Thanks to MNP which gave me option to move from a better option.
1 . Aircel
Pros: Best Data Plans, Low Rental, Good 3G network in most areas of Chennai. The network fluctuations from 2G to 3G and vice-versa is tolerable. Good for Prepaid customers.
Cons: Poor Service support, Network down time very high, not for people in IT because their offices are far from Chennai suburban and the network is almost negligible in upcoming areas.
- Airtel
Pros: Good Network, Good Service.
Cons: Very Costly Post Paid plans, Prepaid also not worth, Not affordable now a days. Irritating people at airtel store, will keep you waiting, very slow. Just wish you never have to visit them. Fluctuations to mobile signal from 2G to 3G and vice versa. Consistency not there.
- BSNL
Pros: Low Rental data plans and thats it.
Cons: Very poor network and pathetic service. The J.En. will listen to your complaint, file it and sleep for ever. The action is either not taken or taken after a week. The toll free does not work. People are not trained enough. The condition of the office is miserable and you will get a feel that your work wont be done. People sitting on the desk are not educated on their work itself. They are old in age and posses no enthu in serving you. You will surely get frustated.
- Vodafone:
Pros: Excellent customer interface, quick resolutions. Nodal officer also reachable. Consistent 3G networks, no fluctuations. The data streaming is excellent. Moderate Post paid plans. Best for IT people as the 3G coverage is good in Navlur, Tambaram, Ambattur area too.
Cons: Few Stores in Chennai, sometimes difficult to step out and reach.
I can say that Vodafone has been proved to me as the best network so far. I stay in Kovilambakkam area which is located in Chennai South.
Cheers !!
