When this album came out in the market I was thrilled. Now why wouldnt I be? The best of the bryan Adams!!! I was interested to see what songs I would find on the album.
Now heres the tricky part, who decides whats his best? There are many Bryan Adams numbers that sound great but never made it to the popular charts. Popular songs of Bryan Adams would be a much more befitting title for this album.
So all Im saying is that dont judge Bryan by the songs on this album. He has a lot of better stuff to his credit too. However all the tracks on this album are amazing. All the Bryan Adams songs you think are groovy, are on this album. Trust me.
Starting with hits like Summer of 69 and songs sung in collaboration like All for love with Rod Stewart and Sting, it has it all. The best part about this album is that it gives you the Bryan Adams you want to listen to. It has the rockers and the melodies all rolled into one album. It even has the OST of Don Juan De Marco have you ever really loved a woman (guys learn from this song will you!)
I could give you a list of ten songs from the top of my head which I think shouldve been on this album, but the thing is, you cant have ALL his songs in his best collection.
So I think the chaps have done a good job in compiling this album. Though one omission worth mentioning is the song 18 till I die which became wildly popular. The somewhat surprising inclusion is that of the song lets make a night to remember. Id say that couldve been replaced with songs like cuts like a knife but then again they never asked me did they? :)
On the whole, this is an album for people starting out with Bryan Adams. Those of you who already have his earlier work need not go in for this one because this one is more POPpish....like I said...his most popular work. But yea, its worth your money.
