Visit the Resort at your Own risk

The experience has been horrific. I have travelled almost entire India and visited number or resort during my tenor but this time the experience has been dreadful. Let me give the synopsis of experience face by me:-




  1. I was the person to make enquiry about room rent and all the communications was addressed to me.




  2. In the mail I had specifically mentioned that 2 family’s would be visiting Best Western Resort Country Club, Manesar(Gurgaon) and accordingly the rates was negotiated for both of us.




  3. We were instructed to deposit the 50% advance amount for confirmation of reservations. We made a cash payment for amount excess to 50% for which only one joint receipt was issued and that too signed as “For” . In spite of repeated requests, No confirmation mail was provided.




  4. On reaching to the venue, The reception staff is untrained and pathetic to handle the customers, The lady at reception counter was so slow to react. I had tried to put forward my request as I was waiting at reception for more than 30 minutes but she seems not interested. I have to inform reception staff that we are seriously thinking of purchasing a member ship and we are being treated as if we are here for free to which your reception staff blindly said that it doesn’t matter whether you take membership or not.




  5.   I should have quitted but being brought family along with me I persisted and after some time I was allotted room no 206(FF).




  6.   I was surprised to see the room; The room was very small and hardly have any space near bed.   The honey bees were roaming free in the room and when we unwrapped the towels kept in bathroom in the room suddenly spiders jumped out. I have to call the housekeeping for   changing my towels.   My daughter 3 yrs old was very afraid as the large honey bees had made nest inside above the AC and their presence was felt now and again.




  7. I was perplexed when I learned that my colleague who was included in same package and paid similar amount was allotted the room double the size. I wondered weather I made payment in peanuts.  How could you do such  injustice. 8.     One more things I noticed that as mentioned in website “only couples are allowed” however it is observed that college students business men’s stag entries are also allowed which was quite a surprise for me.




  8. As you instructed in mail that we require to carry identity card of all the members but what I observed that no matter how many members are there cards of one or two persons is enough with group of 8 students(both boys and girls) identity card of two members were accepted by your officers for booking while other kept on saying that they did not carry identity cards.




  9. My problems started after entering the allotted room no 206(FF). In this summer at 43 degrees it was very refreshing to see that two half litre bottles unbranded were kept in room meant for couples and children. Every were in world even in decent lodges at least 2 one ltr branded mineral water bottles are kept. Its simple strategy to compel the visitors to order additional bottle and it is charged at 36 Rs for MRP 20 Rs.




  10.   More was just to come, at 7.00 pm housekeeping was requested for additional bed however the bed only arrive at 10.15 pm   after repeated follow-up and keeping reception staff in loop.




  11. The room AC stopped functioning by the time the bed arrived hence the electrician was called and he tried his level best up to 10.45 pm and suddenly he realized that it was not his cup of tea and hence his senior was called who experimented up to 11.15 pm when he could finally figured out what exactly had happened. Somehow he could make AC functional but the AC kept on shutting down and restarting during all night.




  12. Next day i.e. on 24th Sunday the electrician appeared again and did some R&D  however the problem persisted till we vacate the room.




  13. On the final day i.e. today 25th Monday since we had time up to 12.00 noon to vacate the room we visited pool side and observed that the pool was not cleaned and lot of insects and flies floating around, we requested the pool in charge sitting there distributing towels to clean the pool so that we can take the final dip to which the pool in charge reacted strongly and started abusing us very reluctantly he  cleaned the pool.




  14. While vacating the room we called for cart and observed at almost all the staff including the cart rider, the Durban, the watchman near the car even the waiter at restaurant expects tip. Although I had gave to  few but could not satisfy the entire.




  15. One important lesson or trick of trade I learned from my colleague that If you could lure the resort authorities that you are interested in membership then you could extract undue favors from them.




  16. Although the experience was not as expected however my children enjoyed the camel ride, train ride and also the cart. The food was also excellent and the restaurant staff was overwhelming. I may not visit again and also not recommend the same to others.
