You had heard of Tere mere Sapne... you know the one made by ABCL productions.....the one that featured Chandrachur in the main role and introduced us to the comedies of Arshad Varsi...
Well, this film went unnoticed even though it was their second venture together.
Strange??
Hmm...
I have always liked this movie....call me subversive....but this movie is kinda different..
See, theres Anjala Zaveri (who we did not see after that Salman movie with no shirt...watever) who is this pseudo-strong female who drives big cars and kills any guy she meets. Chandrachur, well, falls in love with her...!! SURPRISE! and to add to our distress, theres a family confict to support and motivate him! Hmm, very different!
So, now that this is growing serious, enters the other marginalised hero, our tapori, who better than Warsi, whos a thief and to pay off his debt, he has to fansao Zaveri! Hmm...
So, see what Zaveri does to twist the situation.....she challenges Chandrachur to kidnap her and Warsi to save her!!
Pseudo- psycho female...!!!
Although this adds the twist to the movie, and leads to really funny scenes, its actually shallow and superficial, cause we all know that the bechari heroine is going to fall in the hands of the brave hero.
Chandrachur does his best to look like Arnold, but you see, he has no calibre to run California, or the movie. Warsi, on the other hand, with his wit although gifted by the script, tries to make the movie a quasi hit but ...... fails. Zaveri is kinda okay, keeping in regards her partial violent, partial sissy role... shes forgiven. Mayuri Kango, wears that awful red thing in the movie....umm, fashion CHECK ban it!
The only relief in the movie is....the song...the only nice song.... tum mere ho
Otherwise, watch the movie to kill it...
Ya by the way, the half villain is...Amjad Khans son...and lemme tell you hes no Gabbar!
