I have done my B.tech in Bhai Gurdas institute of Engineering and Technology in Sangrur(2008) and this is one of the worst college of engineering and technology in Punjab.
The only good thing in this college is its infrastructure which is also not great but yet its good enough otherwise in technical department and other facilities this college stands at lowest levels among all engineering colleges.
First of all faculty of this college is very young and most of the teachers are less experienced mostly are previous pass out students from this college. They are not professional in technical departments but they only teach book studies or you can say a big lack of practical studies. I mean if someone is going into technical departments like computer science or electronics or mechanical departments then practical work is biggest part of his study or experience. But there are no good practical labs and I found this is biggest negative point of this college. I am not satisfied with its teaching method and one can easily say they are not professionals at all and they are not providing good teachings or knowledge to their students. Job placement is very tough from this college most of the students join this institute as teachers because they are unable to find a decent job anywhere . This college promote itself very well and promote its name with fake promises and fake promotions but after my own experiences I can easily say its not a technical institute.
Even other events in college are very bad like tech fest or other activity programs they charge big fees from their students for small activities or functions. Hostels are also very costly and their canteen food.
Overall I will never suggest anyone to join this group of institutions, if you are a professional and wants to build your courier in technical department then never join this institute but yes if you wants to just pass out like an engineer then surely this will help you.
