As the name of the restaurant goes - this is a pure Bombay Pav Bhaji place - go here only for that.
Goa has its own recipe of pau and bhaji both. We usually prefer a hard bread (Undo/Poli) and a gravy made of potato/chana or a mix bhaji made of carrot, cauliflower, chana etc. There are again few restaurants offering different other types like paneer bhaji, Mushroom bhaji etc.
Because of this factor, few things like Bombay Pau Bhaji, Kachchi Dhabeli are growing attractions for Goans (and for non-goans residing in Goa, its a boon).
Lets come to the other aspects.
Where: Right in the city of Panjim on the busy junction at Alfran Plaza (back-side) on the ground floor.
Ambiance: What to write! Its a street-food joint. If you are conscious about cleanliness, hygiene etc - this is not the place to go. The small shop on the ground floor of the building is completely occupied with the kitchen and all the seating is outside of it - where there is a huge open tiled space. Setup is just basic - set of 4 plastic chairs and a table!
Menu: Of Course, Pau Bhaji with lot of butter melting inside with a fried bread! Sides - salad, soft drinks.
Service: Quick and no pampering. Usually, the place gets somewhat crowded in the evening time. There are boys to help you in knowing which table will be freed up. While you are seated you would see many of those boys going around, just catch hold of one of them, and they would be happy to attend you.
Price: Rs. 50/- for a pau-bhai portion!
Nothing else to write, the preparation is tasty and quite filling! If this is one of your favorite item you should visit the place while in Goa.
