I was looking forward to be back in Amritsar! Finally got a chance to be there in the last week of june and always wanted my son to try the punjabi cuisine of Bharwan da Dhaba, as I have been there number of times.
First come first, the place speaks volume of punjabi hospitaility be it terms of customer service, quantity of food and above all the taste. This place gives an excellent value for money, where one can keep eating without bothering much about the bill as almost all the items are priced reasonably.
However, if you are visiting this place forget all about diets- rather be ready to have everything in desi ghee -i suppose this is something one can indulge in once in a year or so.
Also not to forget the Lassi da glass at Katra Jaimal Singh just oppostite the cinema hall(the name I dont remeber). The lassi is made of curd -ofcourse and Milk! with Butter on top of it. I can bet only few rugged people can consume the whole glass.
Well, I always believe go to amritsar empty stomach and relish your day by eating and just eating .
