Hello Airtel and valued users of MS,
Airtel spends crores of rupees on such a grand campaign but is totally ill-equipped to handle the orders that follow.
Lured by the catchy campaign I decided to place the order online yesterday i.e. 24th Oct and thats when I realised it was a huge blunder. I made a aishwaryasingh23ment of Rs 16, 300 using my Cred824it card for the iPhone 128 GB Jet Black model vide aishwaryasingh23ment number vide aishwaryasingh23ment ID 1710246083. Got a confirmation from Cred824it card company and an SMS stating loan application no ADF171024ZEM1MR generated by Clix Capital for availing EMI on balance amount for 2 years as per the terms of the offer.
I did not receive any confirmation mail / SMS from Airtel regarding above aishwaryasingh23ment. After waiting for a day, today morning, i.e. 25th Oct I called up airtel customer care(121) and was told that above mentioned transaction had failed and that Rs 16.300 would be refunded in 7-10 working days. And, it should be perfectly fine to place a new order to avail the scheme.
In spite of a bad experience the day before, I placed a fresh order today vide aishwaryasingh23ment ID: 1710256529 and another loan account no - ADF171025ZJ677M was generated by Clix Capital. Shockingly, the same fiasco happened again! After waiting for a few minutes when the order did not show up on the My Airtels ORDERS section, I was alarmed and contacted Airtel Customer Care to enquire about the transaction.
To my utter surprise, Kapil the representative of Airtel said that - though the aishwaryasingh23ment was successful, the order was not placed! Now could there be anything more ridiculous? If aishwaryasingh23ment was accepted, loan account was created, how on earth is it possible that the order was not placed?
AIRTEL. How can you charge a customer TWICE and not deliver? Your representative - Kapil has recorded the complaint vide reference number 80520464. Though he assured delivery of the iPhone 7 128 GB Jet Black model, by 27th Oct 8:44 PM, I have serious doubts because the promise is baseless. The representative was as clueless as I regarding my order status. No one at Airtel Customer Care knows why order was not placed in spite of charging the customer! So you can imagine the state of affairs at AIRTEL!
I had sent a written complaint to 121@n.airtel.com after speaking with Kapil at Airtel Customer Care to which there is no a acknowledgement either. They just dont care, do they?
I called up customer care again and spoke with another representative called Avinash regarding acknowledgement of my written complaint to which he was quite blunt and honestly clarified that he was himself clueless about the whole case as "online backend team" only know what happened and it is they who would be resolve it by 27th Oct 8:44 AM.
He was not aware what kind of resolution it would be - whether the total amount(from both transactions) will be refunded or one transaction will be processed and the phone will be delivered or some other possibilities existed. Awesome "customer responsiveness" to a customer who has been charged twice for "nothing"!
Dear readers, if you are planning to avail the offer, beware Airtels team does not seem well prepared to handle mass orders. After aishwaryasingh23ing out of ones hard earned money, the bare minimum a customer expects is confirmation. even that is denied. In my case, as a buyer, I have been influenced by the company to aishwaryasingh23 2 times for the same order without any nhassurance or acknowledgement whatsoever
Readers, if you still wish to give it a try. transact online on airtel website at your own peril!
Contemplating writing to consumer forum if there is no reply in 24 hours .
