Bharti Tele-ventures, a company promoted by Bharti Telecom, is India’s leading private sector provider of telecommunications services based on a aggregate of approximately 1, 275, 000 customers as of Sept 30th, 2001 consisting of 983, 000 cellular, 1, 28000 fixed line and 1, 64, 000 Internet customers. Bharti Televentures through its subsidiary, Bharti Telenet Ltd., was the first private sector operator to provide fixed line services in India. Over the next 3 months Bharti Telenet Ltd., would be launching fixed line telephony in Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Bharti Telesonic Ltd is a Joint Venture between two telecommunications leaders, Bharti Enterprises and Singtel, based in Singapore. It is building a transparent, secure, robust, high speed and reliable Optical Fiber Cable Backbone Network spread across the country. As the network rolls out, Bharti Telesonic will bring to market high bandwidth, reliable long distance Voice, Data and Video services across the country. They will also provide ILD services.The multi-product portfolio will provide a range of options and a host of value added services to each of the company’s customer constituencies.
