I have been to Bhojo’s Salt Lake sector 1 outlet umpteen number of times during my Kolkata visits and every single time there was a long queue outside the cramped up joint. They barely have 5-6 four seaters inside and the long queue of eager patrons waiting outside gave ample testimony to the fact that these guys dish out some of the best bong dishes in town.
I have sampled quite a few exclusively bong eateries in kolkata and I find a few overrated while a few really need mention. Kewpie’s for example is a complete let down in terms of food, the ambiance was awesome and not the food. They charge a ransom for mediocre or unpalatable food, or maybe I was just unlucky.
Suruchee at Lindsay is too good and so is Kasturi. Even 6 ballygunge place and Tero Parbon are doing a good job.
When at Bhojo, try their Super Jumbo Bhaapa Ilish, Bhetki Rongpuri Fry, Chhanar Dalna, Lebu Lonka Murgi and Nolen Gurer Ice-cream.
