As from the trilogy, it has been expected that the story will tend toward origin and finally merge the two stories at once. That is what I meant to see in this part too, the story revolves around the origin of the first part of the story which was held around 200 years ago, and also took reference from the real Manjulika of Vidya Balan cast. Akshay Kumar is still not there which is what many viewers are complaining about or upset about but Im not because the horror genre is my favorite. Unless the story and visuals are okay I dont consider any other than towards cast and direction.
But this time, the visuals, or we can say VFX, are pretty well done. Somewhere in the scene where both Manjulika Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit are sitting and laughing, I found that part cringe-worthy as they tried hard to make it horrific, but for a Bollywood movie, I can expect more than this.
Casts:-
All were good, somewhere it found out overacting like the Karthik Aryan and somewhere of Madhuri Dixit as she is too old now to play this kind of role and where she shouts in the form of possession of ghost is cliche. Vidya Balans acting is awesome. She has shown what real Manjulika is, and her horror acting is brilliant. Triptis performance was on the verge too. Not too good or not too less, showing a nice simple character in the movie. The legendary trio of Chota Pandit, Pandit, and Panditayin was on the top of the world too. Their comic timings and scenes were less but sufficient for the story. Normal jokes are also great when these people tell them, like the NetFlix one and also some of them. But the importance of Chota Pandit in part 1 has been reduced, I guess the makers or creators are not showing their true skills.
Cinematography:-
The direction is awesome too, even some cliche scenes are there but they are easily neglected by the normal audience as in the comparison of great scenes of where the awesome "Mere Dholna" song sequences. Also when Vidya and Madhuri, in a possessed state, fight with each other.
Story:-
This is what amazed me a lot, hence I didnt expect the story to be twisted this much and full of suspense but yes, it is! The story revolves around Manjulikas back story and what her current experiences are. Much more information will be spoiling it hence I will just want to make a suspense of it too. It has been guaranteed that the audience will love the performance of the cast, acting skills, and also the story.
Music:-
One of the best thing which attracted the audiences most. The songs and the legendary song "Mere Dholna" are beyond this universe. There is no comparison to it plus the voice of Sonu Nigam to it is also across the zone. In the second part, Arijit Singh made a rock on it and now Sonu Nigam, I guess the director wanted to feel the music better rather than before for its audience or viewers. Director Anees always made a magical entry by this.
The conclusion of this movie is worth watching and also experiencing this legendary movie in the cinema will be better. I have already experienced it and hence going to go again now on this weekend. Overall, this movie has been great, after a long time, we are getting a proper horror plus musical story-based movie in the Bollywood era. Much more I dont have that many expectations in Bollywood regarding the horror genre but this movie impressed me after a long time. Many more to happen in the future, might be and Im now curiously waiting for its fourth part. The story can be more evolved than this in future parts, and more characters can be introduced!
